Accept: German Heavy Metal Fury
Updated: Aug 15
Any fan of heavy metal from the 70's and 80's will tell you about the raw power that is Germany's Accept. They’re a band that, much like Iron Maiden, unites metal fans of all subgenres. Formed in 1976, the band has released classic after classic - many of which on the timeless label RCA. They’re often described as a heavy metal AC/DC, blending elements of thrash, classic UFO-esque riff-driven rock & late 70’s heavy metal. No holds barred and few ballads, they are a pure rock ‘n’ roll hurricane.
A few absolute must-have Accept records for any metal fan include “Metal Heart” (1985), “Breaker” (1981), and this writer’s personal favorite - “Russian Roulette” (1986).
